Cloning Vectors
New England Biolabs offers cloning vectors for a variety of applications, including protein expression and affinity
purification (pMAL and IMPACT vectors), bidirectional in vitro transcription
for RNAi (LITMUS vectors), and transposon-mediated insertion/mutagenesis (GPS vectors). Also available are pre-linearized
vectors (pNEB206a and LITMUS U) for cloning PCR products with the USER
Friendly Cloning Kit.
Additional vectors include pUC19 and pBR322, as well as bacteriophage lambda, M13 and f174 vectors. Detailed maps
of these vectors can be found on DNA Sequences and Maps
page.
DNA/RNA Molecular Weight Markers
New England Biolabs sells a wide range of double-stranded DNA molecular weight standards for both conventional
electrophoresis and pulsed field gel electrophoresis (PFG). Conventional electrophoresis standards include: Hind III
and BstE II digests of Lambda DNA, BstN I and Msp I digests of pBR322 DNA, and a Hae III digest of fX174
DNA. These standards have a size range of approximately 10 to 2.3 X 104 base pairs. Our Lambda DNA–Mono
Cut Mix is designed to be used as an RFLP marker on Southern blots because it provides an uncomplicated gel pattern.
We also supply a series of DNA Ladders ranging from 25 bp to 10 kb. Our 100 bp DNA Ladder, 1 kb DNA Ladder and 2-Log DNA Ladder are also available in our ready-to-load TriDye™ format. NEB's DNA Ladders feature exceptional quality and value. They include only DNA fragments that are part of the ladder with no “extra” backbone DNA-you pay for the ladder and nothing else.
Pulsed-field gel electrophoresis (PFG) standards include: Yeast chromosomes (Saccharomyces cerevisiae), Lambda Ladders (concatemerized Lambda molecules), MidRange PFG Markers I and II, and a Low Range PFG Marker. The total size range of these five PFG Markers is approximately 0.5 kb to 2,500 kb. All PFG markers are supplied as agarose plugs in convenient GelSyringe™ dispensers to simplify handling and loading of samples.
Our RNA Ladder has a size range of 500 to 9,000 bases and is supplied in a unique storage buffer which ensures long term stability at temperatures above -70°C.
